Scottish Short Bread

      1 lbs. butter (4 sticks)
      1 cup fine sugar
      4 cups flour

Mix butter and sugar just until no loose sugar is left.  Knead in 2 cups flour.  Add 2 more cups of flour.  On an ungreased tray make into 2 inch loaves and prick with fork.  Preheat oven to 300 degrees.  Cook until golden. (Around 30-40 minutes)
